Brugel Gel belongs to the group of painkillers known as NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs). It relieves pain, swelling, and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis (a bone disorder that makes joints painful and stiff), ankylosing spondylitis, and rheumatoid arthritis (inflammation of the joints). Brugel Gel contains 'Flurbiprofen,' an analgesic (that relieves pain) with anti-inflammatory properties. Brugel Gel inhibits cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that further prevent the formation of chemical messengers called 'prostaglandins' (PGs). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling.
